In order to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in the field of stem cell research and treatment, and promote the efficient transformation and application of cutting-edge results in stem cells and regenerative medicine, The 6th International Symposium on Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Research and Treatment (Pluripotent Stem Cell Conference 2026, PSConf 2026) and the first academic conference of the Asian Alliance of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (AASCRM Inaugural Summit) will be co-organized at the Beijing International Convention Center from October 9 to 11, 2026.
PSConf–AASCRM 2026 conference with “Pathways to Organ Regeneration: State of the art in underpinning science and technology” as the theme, Focusing on the three main lines of cutting-edge scientific research, alliance strategic dialogue and international organization collaboration, a multi-disciplinary academic forum will be set up around the basic science of organ regeneration, complex system characterization of stem cells and organoids, automated large-scale expansion and clinical transformation, and systematically explore key technological breakthroughs and transformation paths for human pluripotent stem cells and their derivative drugs from research and development to application. At the level of international collaboration, the conference will simultaneously promote high-level consultations on two major international academic platforms: one is the ISCA closed-door strategic meeting, which will include ISSCR,ISCT,ISCBI,ISCI, hPSCreg,ISFO Representatives of other international organizations will conduct international collaborative dialogues on solving the key challenges of stem cell medicine.; The second is the AASCRM closed-door strategic meeting, where stem cell society presidents and representatives from member countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand will have in-depth discussions on topics such as alliance cooperation framework, joint research, policy coordination and education promotion. In addition, the Asian Stem Cell Alliance Leadership Forum and Young Scientists Forum will bring together heads of member societies and regional outstanding young scholars to build a cooperation network and talent echelon. This conference will comprehensively It presents the entire chain of innovation progress from basic frontiers to translational applications, and is committed to building a high-end academic and strategic collaboration platform linking the Asian and global stem cell fields.
This conference is hosted by the Beijing Institute of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (BISCRM), the National Key Laboratory of Organ Regeneration and Intelligent Manufacturing, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ORR-IOZ_CAS), the International Stem Cell Alliance (ISCA), the Asian Alliance of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (AASCRM), and the Stem Cell Biology Branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology (CS SCR), Chinese Society of Cell Biology Standards Working Committee (SC-CSCB), Beijing Keqiao Charity Foundation (KF), China Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Collaborative Innovation Platform (CASCRM), and National Stem Cell Resource Bank (NSCRC), co-organized by Beijing Zuixin Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and in cooperation with the European Commission Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Registration Center ( hPSCreg), International Stem Cell Bank Initiative (ISCBI), International Stem Cell Initiative (ISCI) and other international organizations jointly present an open, cutting-edge, cross-regional academic event.
The conference will build an efficient and professional communication platform for global scientific researchers, industries and policy makers, focusing on the latest achievements and application prospects of transforming human pluripotent stem cell research into health solutions. This is not only an academic feast for the exchange of ideas and knowledge sharing, but also an important opportunity to expand international horizons, stimulate cross-border innovation, and jointly shape the future of stem cells and regenerative medicine.

The International Symposium on Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Research and Treatment (Pluripotent Stem Cell Conference, PSConf) is a high-end academic and strategic collaboration conference initiated by the Beijing Institute of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and co-sponsored by more than ten international organizations, societies and institutions, including the International Stem Cell Alliance (ISCA) and the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The conference adheres to the "3C" principle of "Consultation, Collaboration, and Coordination", takes the exploration of full-chain innovation from basic frontiers to translational applications as the benchmark, and aims to solve the core common issues in field development. Through multi-party collaboration among academia, clinical medicine, industry and regulatory agencies, the conference promotes the standardization construction of basic research, clinical trials, industrial transformation, industry supervision and other aspects.
A major feature of the conference is the "Bridging Session" of international organizations. More than ten international stem cell-related organizations have reached consensus on issues such as field collaboration, resource sharing, international standards, data interoperability, and ethical supervision, and promoted in-depth cross-border, cross-organization, and cross-disciplinary cooperation.
The first conference will be held in Beijing in 2021, once a year, It has gathered authoritative experts in the field of stem cells from more than 20 countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. It has now become an annual academic event with great international influence in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine.
The Asian Alliance for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (AASCRM) was jointly initiated and established in 2019 by the Stem Cell Branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology (CSSCR), the Japanese Society of Regenerative Medicine (JSRM) and the Korean Stem Cell Society (KSSCR). The Stem Cell Society of Singapore (SCSS) will join in 2021, and the Australian and New Zealand Stem Cell Society (ASSCR) will join in 2025. The alliance aims to build a cooperation network in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine in Asia and promote joint research, policy coordination and education promotion.
On October 11, 2026, the first academic conference of AASCRM will be held simultaneously with the 6th PSConf in Beijing. Stem cell society presidents and representatives from member countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Australia will gather in Beijing. The conference will include an alliance leadership forum and a young scientist forum, bringing together heads of member societies and regional outstanding young scholars to build a cooperation network and talent echelon.
