Umar Farooq
Umar Farooq is a dedicated scientist with BSc in biochemistry and MSc in human genetics from Hazara University, Pakistan. He received his PhD from Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China, in developmental biology specializing in cancer therapeutic research. Following his doctorate, he served as a Laboratory Manager at Carlo Genetics, Canada. Umar's current research focuses on innovative cancer therapeutics with a particular emphasis on understanding the role of CREPT/RPRD1B in glioma. He is committed to impactful cancer research and advancing understanding of the complex tumor microenvironment and factors that influence tumor growth and induce therapeutic resistance.Umar has published several SCI articles as first and coauthor in high-impact international academic journals such as Cells, Scientific Reports, Elsevier.
