according to reports, the establishment of the pathological precision diagnosis center aims to improve the pathological diagnosis of diseases in primary medical institutions and solve the pathological diagnosis of difficult cases. it is a major measure taken by jinfeng laboratory to focus on major national strategic needs and improve people's life and health. the center is currently located in building 6 of jinfeng laboratory, with a construction area of ​​2,200 square meters. it has more than 150 domestic first-class diagnostic equipment (sets), divided into three functional areas: routine pathology, molecular pathology, and remote diagnosis, and has more than 100 items. testing service capabilities basically meet the needs of pathology and inspection and diagnosis. the reporter learned that at present, the pathology precision diagnosis center has established cooperative relationships with more than 50 well-known pathology, testing, imaging and clinical experts at home and abroad. they come from southern medical university, fudan university affiliated cancer hospital, people's liberation army general hospital, and duke university in the united states. , mayo clinic and other well-known medical institutions at home and abroad provide strong intellectual support for the center’s services.

"as the first laboratory in chongqing to be put into operation, jinfeng laboratory has established a pathological precision diagnosis center. it is mainly based on pathology, organically integrates imaging, testing and clinical characteristics, and makes full use of multi-omics data and artificial intelligence technology. the latest research results of feng laboratory are quickly applied to the clinical frontline, truly creating the source of 'next generation diagnostic technology for major diseases'," said professor yan xiaochu, chief expert of the pathological precision diagnosis center. according to reports, in the early stage, the center has taken the lead in carrying out whole-genome dna methylation chip testing services for central nervous system tumors in china, and carried out sample testing for 356 cases for 15 domestic medical institutions such as west china hospital of sichuan university and beijing tiantan hospital, effectively solving the problem of rare or new central nervous system tumors have many classifications and are difficult to diagnose. it is worth mentioning that in terms of artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis, the center already has a number of innovative diagnostic technologies and capabilities such as ai-assisted diagnosis of brain glioma, frozen ai-assisted diagnosis during lymph node metastasis surgery, and ai-assisted diagnosis of gastrointestinal biopsy pathology. we are the first in china to apply multi-modal integrated diagnosis to support clinical medical services, further improving the level of diagnosis. “for example, to carry out ai-assisted diagnosis of brain glioma, we use multi-modal data fusion to achieve comprehensive analysis of imaging magnetic resonance, histological morphology, and molecular detection information ai integrated diagnosis. we have completed 599 clinical studies with an accuracy rate of 85%. —90%." yan xiaochu said. at the same time, this also greatly improves diagnostic efficiency. he told reporters that in the past, the diagnosis of brain glioma mainly relied on doctors to conduct histological observation, which often took a day or two. in some difficult cases, it even took longer to review relevant information before making a diagnosis. nowadays, with the strong support of ai "disease calculation", diagnosis results can be given in just a few minutes. in the future, as case data continues to accumulate and the ai ​​model is continuously trained, it will become smarter and can provide accurate imaging-pathological diagnosis results in even tens of seconds.

it is also understood that at present, the center has also deployed a "multi-modal + multi-disciplinary" remote pathology diagnosis platform to achieve global interconnection and same-screen consultation. by establishing cooperative relationships with 15 domestic and foreign medical institutions, it has provided remote and accurate diagnosis services for difficult cases to 7 medical institutions in our city, including yudongnan and yudongbei, which has greatly improved the diagnostic capabilities of basic medical service institutions.
