introduction to the national stem cell resource bank

the national stem cell resource bank (referred to as the resource bank) is a national science and technology resource sharing service platform approved by the ministry of science and technology and the ministry of finance. it is affiliated to the national science and technology innovation base for basic support and condition guarantee, and is supported by the institute of zoology, chinese academy of sciences. the resource library has established a complete quality management system and has passed the iso 20387 biological sample bank accreditation and iso 17025 calibration and testing laboratory accreditation organized by the china national accreditation service for conformity assessment (cnas). the resource library led the release of the first international stem cell standard iso 24603, the first national standard for human stem cells gb/t 42466-2023, and the first stem cell group standard t/cscb 0001-2020. it also led the release of more than 20 projects and participated in the drafting of more than 40 projects. various types of standards. it has established nearly 3,100 cell lines from different sources and with different developmental potentials, totaling more than 80,000 cells, and applied for more than 60 patents related to cell resources. the cell resources support the development of more than ten stem cell clinical research projects registered by the two national committees and bureaus. five of them obtained phase i/ii drug clinical trial approval from the national medical products administration.
